TEXT FOR PARENTS

Print out or email the posters above or use the text below to get the message to your parents. Make a few calls to key families to see if they will host, or do a big watch party at your school (where Covid allows). It will be worth your investment.

Text for Parents:

HOST A WATCH PARTY!After a year of lockdowns, it may be time to gather a few friends in your home and stream the national event. Or watch from your desk, your car, your big screen, or your phone.

To watch, scan this code with your phone camera or visit:

live.RepairingTheRuins.org/watch

NOTE: Parents hosting a watch party are encouraged to check the link in advance to ensure their device is set up correctly to stream. For watch parties, we encourage viewers to select one or more of the time blocks, and schedule a dinner or party snacks around them.

WHY JOIN IN? A NOTE FOR SCHOOLS

Deepen parent investment in your school! All you need to do is promote the event with your parents and encourage watch parties.

When parents gather together and fellowship, they deepen their commitment to your school community. And, with the watch party content, they will have things to discuss! Each segment will last for a couple of hours. We don’t intend for any watch party to view them all. Mid-day, parents can enjoy academic and cultural content. The evening is more entertaining. Moms can gather, or dads, or families all together in the evening. The evening performance by John Erickson (author of the “Hank the Cowdog” book series) will be good for all ages! Then send the kids out to play while parents watch Rosaria Butterfield’s “Making of a Monster.”
