ACCS Teacher Certification

ACCS Teacher Certification

Available for ACCS accredited schools

We believe teacher certification should mean something:

It should not be an exercise in box-checking, but instead should demonstrate that schools are providing their teachers with the necessary opportunities, resources, and accountability to grow.

This means we want to support schools as they train their teachers in two principal ways: theory and pedagogy. Teachers ought to grow in their philosophical understanding of classical Christian education, as well as developing instructional competence in classical teaching practices and methods.

With the support of our Training Center, ACCS Teacher Certification enables teachers to attain the highest level of classical Christian instruction under the supervision of their school’s administrator, while providing a long term independent record of that accomplishment with ACCS as well as a certificate of achievement for each level of proficiency attained.

ACCS-accredited schools should contact the Director of Accreditation for more information or any questions about ACCS teacher certification.
Accredited schools can add their certified teachers to the database and receive certificates on the Member Resource Center (MRC).

Note: The Foundations Track at the ACCS annual Repairing the Ruins Conference is helpful for achieving ACCS Teacher Certification. We’re working on offering a host of teacher training services and opportunities for our member schools. Stay tuned for exciting news on this front.
