Summary:
I am an English and Portuguese teacher specialist in Bilingual Education. My work combines pedagogical practice, the fundamentals of Christian tradition, and modern resources to help parents and teachers educate students based on truth, goodness, and beauty, integrating faith and learning. I have been an English teacher since 2018. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Classical Education at Southeastern University (Florida, USA), and a postgraduate degree in Classical Christian Education (Faculdade Internacional Cidade Viva – FICV). I hold a specialization and postgraduate degree in Bilingual Education and a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Portuguese and English languages. I have been teaching English at Trinitas Classical Christian School in Brazil for almost 4 years. My prayer and hope is to be more useful in the Kingdom of God through education. I aspire to gain international experience by living in an English-speaking country and working in a classical Christian school where I can grow, serve, and make a meaningful impact. Summary:
I have five years’ teaching experience at classical Christian schools in Canada. During the first two years, I was a Gr. 7-8 homeroom teacher; the second two years, I took on the role of Latin teacher; this past year I helped to start a new collaborative school, serving as the headmaster and Gr. 8-9 teacher. My passion and gifts are for classroom teaching, specifically in the Logic-Rhetoric stages. I am proficient in beginner-intermediate Latin (have taught Latin for Children A, B, C, Latin Alive 1-2, and part of Familia Romana). I studied biblical Greek and Hebrew in seminary, and I took conversational German for three years in high school. Hence, learning and teaching languages is a passion of mine.
My formal education is in religion and theology, with a focus in historical theology. I have lectured on Church History at my local Bible college and taught several adult Christian education classes on Church History in the local church. I enjoy teaching Logic and Literature (primarily 19th-20th century). I have also taught Gr. 6-8 Singapore Math and tutored Gr. 9-10 Saxon Math. I play several musical instruments well enough, with formal training in guitar. I love to play soccer and basketball. I enjoy cooking with my wife and visiting new places. We have five children (newborn to 10 years).

Summary:
Armed with calloused knees and a bar of Ivory soap, it was my prayerful mom who was most humanly instrumental in heightening my awareness of my sinfulness and my need for a Savior. I was five years old when I made a profession of faith. I have been actively involved in local church and Christian education ever since.
God has blessed me to help plant a church, serve as an elder, shepherd home fellowships, lead worship, direct a variety of ministries, coach 75 seasons of athletic teams in multiple sports (PK thru college), teach several classes, preach, and serve as a Head of School since 2000.
Entering our 43rd year, things at Metro Christian Academy are better than ever. June of 2018—upon my arrival, the school was struggling. Today, praise God, it is thriving. My time here has been wonderful, but recently I began to discern that my skills might be better stewarded elsewhere. I feel compellingly called back to a Christian, classical school.
