Position Information
Position desired: Administrator, Head of School
Subjects you can teach:
Willing to relocate to: Anywhere in US, Midwest, Northeast, Southeast, West
Summary:
With over eight years of experience leading three different Christian schools, both classical and not, I have seen firsthand the necessity for strong classical Christian schools.
As a brief summary of my experience, I earned a BA in Bible Teacher Education from Cedarville University (Ohio), taught English to Chinese and international students in Beijing, China for one year, and then earned a Master of Divinity degree from Shepherds Theological Seminary (North Carolina). After this I served as Administrator of Community Christian School of Baraboo (Wisconsin) for six years where we implemented classical techniques and curriculum but never fully embraced the classical model. During that time I completed a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Cornerstone University (Michigan). I then served as the Head of School at Calvary Christian Academy (Illinois) for two years before relocating “back home” to the area of my upbringing to help a new classical Christian school get started (Doxa Christian Academy in New Berlin, WI). Since then I have taken a break from Christian school leadership in order to provide a stable classical Christian education for our children, who are enrolled in a local ACCS school.
I am excited for the next opportunity to serve as a leader in a classical Christian school in order to disciple the next generation of Christian students. I am open to Head of School and administrative roles for classical Christian schools in the United States. I prefer those that offer a full K-12 but would consider K-8 if they have strong intentions to expand into an upper school. I do not intend to start a new role until the summer of 2026 at the earliest. Clarity of purpose, a healthy board, and high ethical standards are all important to me.

Preferred Denomination Type: Reformed, Baptist, Bible Church
Current Church: The Vine Community Church
Current Church Denomination: reformed Baptist
Current Church Membership: Yes
Current Church Attendance: Weekly
Support of Traditional Marriage: Yes
Theology: I am a conservative evangelical. I grew up in Baptist circles and still hold to basic Baptistic theology (e.g. The Baptist Faith and Message) but would best be described as a Calvinistic Baptist. I have wholeheartedly embraced most elements of reformed theology (although specific points of disagreement with a Reformed perspective include pedobaptism and a covenantal interpretation and application of the Old Testament). In hermeneutics I follow the grammatico-historical approach. In soteriology I am thoroughly Calvinistic. In epistemology I am a presuppositionalist.
Belief in the inerrancy of Scripture?: Yes
Notes on Scripture: I endorse without reservation the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy. This magisterial document from 1978 establishes the verbal plenary inspiration, infallibility, and inerrancy of the Scriptures.
Additional classical training: My interest in classical Christian education has been an abiding fascination since I was first exposed to the concept of the Great Books when I read Mortimer Adler’s “How to Read a Book” in middle school. I have been closely following and participating in the movement for many years including the following:
In seminary I was trained in koine Greek.
I served as the head administrator for a small Christian school in Baraboo, Wisconsin for six years. While not thoroughly classical, we implemented many elements of classical Christian pedagogy and content.

Why I want to teach at a classical school: I have served as the Head of School for both classical and modern Christian schools for over eight years, and over that time I have become increasingly convinced of the necessity and superiority of the classical Christian approach. It’s not only what I want for my career, but more importantly it’s what I want for my own children.
